About Urbex Legends
Urbex Legends is a community-driven map dedicated to abandoned places across Europe: castles, factories, hospitals, churches, barracks. Over 2,700 sites are documented today, contributed and validated by a community of urban explorers who take the time.
Our mission
Preserve the memory of the places the world has forgotten. Document before demolition, share with respect, pass it on to the passionate who will come after us. Urbex Legends is not a leaderboard, not a race game, not a tool for the general public — it's a collective heritage notebook, run by and for the urbex community.
Who's behind it
Urbex Legends is founded and maintained by FlowUp, a French urban explorer, in collaboration with a community of volunteer moderators. The project is open-source in spirit and funded by its users' Premium subscriptions. No ads, no data reselling, no external investors.
Our approach
Exact coordinates are never public. They're reserved for the Premium community in the mobile app, for two reasons: respect for the sites (avoiding mass tourism) and legal responsibility (urban exploration requires a certain level of knowledge and caution).
Sources
Heritage and geographic content relies on community contributions, supplemented by public sources (Wikipedia, Wikidata, OpenStreetMap) for historical context and classification.
